About the Photographer

Erin Haluschak is a documentary photographer specializing in photojournalism in addition to a  commercial photographer. She also enjoys black-and-white hand-processed printing in a traditional wet darkroom.

She has gained much of her experience beginning at the Manitoban, the official newspaper of the University of Manitoba. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, she has obtained her certificate in Professional Photography at North Island College in Courtenay, British Columbia.

Erin has interned at the Winnipeg Free Press and currently photographs for the Comox Valley Record in Courtenay. She has had work displayed at several galleries in Winnipeg and Courtenay, published in various cross-Canada magazines including Uptown Magazine in Winnipeg, and on a variety of websites. Currently, her work can be found in galleries on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland of BC.

She utilizes both digital, 35mm and 120mm film capture, depending upon the assignment.

Erin strives to capture the essence of a story in each photograph, while creating a powerful image. Erin is highly mobile and looks forward to new clients, challenges and locations.
